TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Scope of Services
Content Cubs offers a wide array of publishing, writing, and content creation services, each with specific terms outlined below.
- Ghostwriting
- Book, Article, and Speech Ghostwriting: Content created remains the intellectual property of Content Cubs until the final payment is received. Copyright can be purchased at 7X the service cost, at which point all rights will transfer to the client.
- Book Publishing Assistance
- Manuscript Formatting, Cover Design, ISBN Acquisition: Content Cubs retains copyright over all created materials (covers, formatted layouts, etc.). Clients are given a one-year usage right; they may purchase full copyright before the year ends. ISBNs are acquired on behalf of clients but remain owned by Content Cubs unless agreed otherwise.
- Content Writing
- Website Content, Blog Content, Social Media Content: All content provided is intended for the client’s direct use only. For third-party distribution or use beyond personal channels, clients must obtain consent. Content Cubs holds copyright for one year and can transfer ownership at a 7X buyout fee.
- Author Branding
- Logo Design, Author Websites, Social Media Profiles: All designs, logos, and website code are the property of Content Cubs. Code ownership is non-transferable without a copyright buyout. Use beyond the initial agreed scope requires our written consent.
- Book Editing and Proofreading
- Manuscript Editing, Proofreading, Copyediting: Services provided as editing support are non-refundable after each completed stage. All editorial changes made by Content Cubs are copyrighted. Clients can buy out editing rights at 7X the editing cost if needed for third-party publishing.
- Book Marketing Strategy
- Content Strategy, Online and Offline Promotion: Marketing materials and strategies developed by Content Cubs remain our intellectual property and are licensed to the client for a one-year period.
- Author Coaching and Mentoring
- Writing Coaching, Publishing Consultation, Goal Setting, Accountability: Coaching materials and advice provided remain proprietary and are licensed only for personal use by the client. Sharing or redistributing this content is prohibited without express consent from Content Cubs.
Payment Terms
- Refund Policy: Refunds are calculated based on project milestones. Each completed step is non-refundable and incurs a 20% fee of the total project cost. For example, for a 10-step project, each step is valued at 8% of the total. Completed steps are non-refundable.
Copyright and Usage Rights
- Copyright Ownership: Content Cubs retains copyright for all created materials for a one-year period post-delivery. To obtain permanent copyright, clients must pay a buyout fee equivalent to 7X the service cost.
- Usage Rights: Clients receive a one-year usage licence for the completed work, which allows them to use the material for its intended purpose within that period. Extended or third-party usage requires copyright purchase.
- Legal Protection: Content Cubs reserves the right to pursue legal action against unauthorised use of our intellectual property. If a client’s solicitor challenges our copyright terms, Content Cubs will enforce the terms as stipulated.
- Trademark Assistance: Trademark applications are facilitated by Content Cubs upon copyright buyout, as trademarking remains a government-regulated process. Clients may proceed independently or with Content Cubs’ assistance.
Client Conduct and Confidentiality
- Client Conduct: Content Cubs expects respectful and non-discriminatory conduct from all clients. Harassment or discriminatory behaviour toward our employees will result in service termination without refund.
- Confidentiality: Clients must not share proprietary work with former employees or external entities without express written permission. Violation incurs a 7X penalty fee for claimable materials.
Communication Recording
- Quality Assurance: All communication with Content Cubs, including calls and emails, is recorded and archived to ensure quality and transparency.
Jurisdiction and Legal Governance
All services provided by Content Cubs are governed under UK law.
